About us:
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service's Child and Family Health (CAFH) service supports children and families across regional, rural and coastal communities throughout Central Queensland. CAFH is a child-centred, family-focused service providing health promotion, education, child health and development surveillance, early identification of family needs and risks, early intervention and care coordination.
The service works in partnership with families to promote responsive parenting, strengthen family relationships and support the emotional wellbeing and healthy development of children. Support is delivered across a range of settings, including family homes, community clinics, hospitals, schools and other community locations.
About the role:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate safe, compassionate, person-centred care for children and their families.
- Provide evidence-based guidance on parenting, child development, emotional wellbeing, growth, feeding and nutrition, including group education sessions.
- Participate in case conferences and reviews, working closely with Child Health and multidisciplinary teams across the HHS.
- Commit to lifelong learning, professional development, performance development and maintaining a safe, high-quality healthcare environment.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nuse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is mandatory.
- Demonstrates safe, person-centred care, with sound assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
- Experience or a genuine desire to work with children and families, communicating in age-appropriate ways and partnering with families in their child's care.
- Provides clinical leadership, supports health education and professional development, and works collaboratively with children, families and multidisciplinary teams with empathy and respect.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $81,145 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $44.27 - $56.79 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
