Social Workers support people through more than just their medical needs. They look at the bigger picture, including social, emotional, cultural, psychological and financial factors — and provide tailored support to help people navigate challenges, access services and improve their wellbeing.
Our Social Work Department services hospital and community settings in Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton, making a meaningful difference to people and families across Central Queensland.
This role can be based in Rockhampton or Yeppon.
About the role:
- 🩺 Provide high-level Social Work assessment, case management, therapy and interventions across inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
- 🤝 Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for patients and clients.
- 🌟 Take responsibility for specific clinical portfolios and contribute to improving procedures, protocols, services and evidence-based practice.
- 📈 Respond to complex and emerging needs, monitor clinical outcomes and help improve patient flow, access and quality of care, while contributing to a positive workplace culture.
About you:
- 🎓 Hold a recognised Social Work degree, be eligible for AASW membership and maintain ongoing professional development.
- 🧠 Use your full scope of practice to provide complex psychosocial assessment, advocacy and interventions across the continuum of care.
- 🔄 Lead quality and service improvement initiatives, from identifying opportunities for change through to implementation and evaluation.
- 👩🏫 Build strong relationships with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, while contributing to research, education and training.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
