Data Maintenance Officer

As a Data Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and quality of information within the HBCIS Doctor Database. Working collaboratively with clinical and corporate stakeholders, you will undertake data validation, cleansing and reconciliation activities across multiple information systems to ensure practitioner records remain current, consistent and reliable. Through the analysis and resolution of data quality issues, you will contribute to improved reporting, informed decision-making and key Digital Health and organisational initiatives across CHQ.

About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

  • Maintain the integrity, accuracy and currency of the HBCIS Doctor Database through regular review, validation, cleansing and updating of practitioner records.
  • Undertake routine and ad hoc data quality activities, including identifying, investigating and resolving data inconsistencies, duplicate records, incomplete information and other data quality issues in the HBCIS Doctor Database.
  • Compare and reconcile practitioner information across multiple clinical, corporate and external information systems to identify new, departing and changed practitioner records, ensuring information is maintained accurately and consistently.
  • Review, analyse and validate data and reports to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for data quality improvement, escalating issues where appropriate.
