You are invited to join a dynamic team with the Cairns Adult Community Health Service (ACHS) as a Social Worker. You will report operationally to the ACHS Team Leader and professionally to the Director of Social Work. The Social Worker completes clinical work with a focus on complexity and acts as a clinical consultant to ACHS. Lead a multidisciplinary team by providing operational leadership, supervision, performance development, and day-to-day workforce management to support high-quality service delivery.

About your role:

In this position you will…..

  • Provide clinical leadership and demonstrate high level management skills in monitoring and prioritising workload demands to enhance the delivery of Social Work services across Cairns Adult Community Health Service.
  • Deliver advanced-level social work services of a highly complex and varied nature, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics; AASW Professional Practice Standards; and relevant AASW Scope/s of Practice.
  • Contribute to staff development within the ACHS team through clinical practice supervision of staff and students, performance appraisal, professional development, recruitment and selection and mandatory training.
