What your day could look like

As a Clinical Midwife - Caseload Midwife, you'll play an important role in supporting women and families through one of life's most significant experiences. Working within a continuity of care model, you'll deliver personalised, evidence-informed care, build trusted relationships, and contribute to positive maternity outcomes across the community.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Providing holistic, woman-centred care across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, helping families achieve safe and positive outcomes.
  • Building strong partnerships with women, families and multidisciplinary teams to support informed decision-making and coordinated care.
  • Sharing your expertise through mentoring, coaching and supporting colleagues and students to strengthen practice and capability.
  • Driving quality improvement, innovation and clinical excellence that enhances maternity services and patient experiences.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Current registration as a Midwife with the relevant professional registration authority.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality, evidence-based maternity care across the continuum.
  • Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and safe, culturally responsive care.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in continuity of care or caseload midwifery and/or postgraduate study relevant to maternity care.

Above all, you'll bring compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage to every interaction, helping deliver exceptional care for women, babies and families.
