Your new role:

As Assistant Business Manager, you will provide proactive business management advice and support to help Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services achieve its operational and strategic priorities. You will:

  • Support financial and business management activities, including budgets, monthly reporting, expenditure, FTE and activity analysis.
  • Provide advice on financial impacts, business performance, procurement, expenditure and establishment changes to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to business planning, economic feasibility assessments and the development of well-documented business cases for future initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Business Manager, Finance Manager and divisional teams, while supporting assets, facilities, purchasing, accounts payable and reporting activities.

About you:

We are looking for a motivated business management professional who can combine analytical capability with strong communication and relationship-building skills. You have:

  • Demonstrable developing skills in business management within a large, complex and multidisciplinary organisation.
  • Developing analytical and reporting capability, with the ability to interpret information and support business performance.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the confidence to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively, with knowledge of contemporary HR practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity and anti-discrimination

Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services provide inpatient, hospital-based and community mental health and community alcohol and drug services for all age groups across a number of campuses.
