About the role
As the Safety and Quality Facilitator - Risk and Emergency Response, you will provide expert leadership across risk management, emergency management, business continuity, clinical governance, safety and quality within Community and Oral Health. Working closely with executive and management teams, you will support informed decision-making and help strengthen organisational resilience, patient safety and service continuity.
You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of risk management and emergency preparedness frameworks, coordinate emergency response and business continuity activities, facilitate investigations and reviews, and ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and accreditation requirements. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and enhance organisational capability across Community and Oral Health services.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks, supporting effective risk identification, assessment and mitigation across Community and Oral Health.
- Provide expert advice to managers and executives on strategic, operational and clinical risk management, emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
- Coordinate emergency management, disaster recovery, incident response and business continuity activities to strengthen organisational resilience and service delivery.
- Facilitate risk assessments, incident investigations, emergency response exercises and training programs to enhance organisational capability and preparedness.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and governance documentation while maintaining effective stakeholder relationships and supporting accreditation, safety and quality initiatives.
