About the role
Redcliffe Hospital is seeking casual security officers to join its dynamic, fast-paced team where no two shifts are the same. Your input will truly matter as you will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team focused on staff safety and positive patient outcomes.
No security experience - No problem. We provide paid, on-the-job training to give you the skills you need. Many of our officers come from non-security backgrounds.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide comprehensive security services that support the safety of patients, visitors, staff, facilities and assets across Redcliffe Hospital.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations including personal threats, fire responses and incidents impacting hospital operations and service delivery.
- Apply evidence-based conflict management and de-escalation techniques to prevent, manage and resolve challenging situations safely and professionally.
- Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV, telecommunications, radio networks and body worn camera equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate incident records, reports and observations while contributing to a professional, responsive and customer-focused security service.
