About us:

At Biloela Maternity Service, women and families are at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated team provides woman-centred maternity care across pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period, with access to a dedicated birth suite, postnatal ward and antenatal clinic.

Midwives and Medical Officers work together as one team, creating continuity of care and building strong relationships with women and families along the way. From Midwifery Group Practice to culturally responsive, evidence-based care, we're committed to keeping care safe, personal and connected.

About the role:

  • Keep the wheels turning. Provide high-quality administrative and operational support across antenatal, birth and postnatal services, helping the Biloela Maternity Service run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Be the welcoming face. Coordinate reception, appointments, enquiries, telephone and switchboard services, providing friendly, responsive and confidential support to women, families, staff and other stakeholders.
  • Own the details. Manage maternity records, referrals, correspondence, clinical information systems, databases, reporting, billing and governance processes, making sure information is accurate, up to date and where it needs to be.
  • Make things happen behind the scenes. Coordinate supplies and equipment, monitor stock, organise repairs and maintenance, support service communications and community engagement, and help coordinate care and follow-up for private women and babies returning to the local area.

About you:

  • 🗂️ Can juggle competing priorities, use your initiative, solve problems and know when to take action or escalate an issue.
  • 💻 Confident navigating Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, HBCIS and other clinical, reporting and database systems, with a sharp eye for accurate data and records.
  • 🤝 Enjoy working alongside midwives, Medical Officers, allied health professionals, managers, external providers and community partners to keep things moving.
  • ✨ From coordinating appointments and managing records to preparing documentation, taking minutes and keeping action items on track, you're comfortable keeping multiple plates spinning in a busy healthcare environment.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $103,600 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $41.17 - $45.79 p.h.
