The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Principal Procurement Advisors to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide high-level specialist procurement and commercial advice to senior stakeholders
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor by interpreting procurement policy, governance requirements and market intelligence
- Partner with the Category Manager to develop, implement and continuously enhance category and sub-category strategies
- Influence strategic investment and sourcing decisions through the provision of market intelligence, supplier insights, commercial analysis and evidence-based recommendations
- Lead complex market, spend, supplier and risk analysis activities to identify strategic sourcing opportunities
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- While not mandatory, demonstrated knowledge of complex sourcing strategies, including experience managing high-value, high-risk procurements, with strong capability in contract development and commercial negotiations would be well regarded
- Deep expertise in procurement governance, frameworks and assurance practices within health and/or highly complex organisations is highly desirable
- A relevant academic qualification and/or completion of the Procurement Certification Program or membership with a relevant professional industry body, would be well regarded
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time (two positions)
- Base salary ranging from $144,315 - $154,879 per annum
