Your new role:
You'll provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care across the patient journey, working closely with nursing, medical and allied health professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. You'll use your clinical judgement, critical thinking and strong communication skills to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate person-centred care, while contributing to quality improvement, education and a positive team culture. You'll also have opportunities to build your expertise in post-operative care, clinical leadership and evidence-based nursing practice.
About you:
You're a compassionate and capable Registered Nurse who brings sound clinical judgement, a commitment to person-centred care and a genuine passion for delivering safe, high-quality outcomes in a Day Surgery environment.
- Clinical expertise: Demonstrated knowledge, skills and competence in Day Surgery and post-operative nursing care.
- Patient-centred: Provides compassionate, respectful care through effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Team focused: Works collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Quality driven: Applies evidence-based practice, clinical guidelines and critical thinking to promote safety and continuous improvement.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
