Your new role:

As a Clinical Nurse, you will use your advanced clinical knowledge, critical thinking and leadership skills to support patients with complex care needs while working collaboratively with the wider peri-anaesthesia team. In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert, person-centred nursing care to patients within the peri-anaesthesia environment
  • Apply advanced clinical assessment, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support safe and effective patient outcomes
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to nursing staff and the broader healthcare team
  • Contribute to education, clinical facilitation, mentoring and the development of students and colleagues

About you:

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong interest and demonstrated capability in peri-anaesthesia or perioperative nursing. You bring confidence in managing complex clinical situations, a commitment to person-centred care and the ability to provide leadership and support to those around you. You will bring:

  • Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in peri-anaesthesia/perioperative nursing
  • Strong clinical judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to provide effective clinical leadership, delegation, communication and support to colleagues
  • A commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development and contemporary nursing standards
  • Experience contributing to quality improvement, clinical audits, practice change or research

About the Logan Hospital:

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion
