About the role
The Director, Children's Specialist Oral Health Services (COHS) is a key clinical and operational leadership position within Metro North Oral Health Services. The role is responsible for leading specialist paediatric oral health services across Metro North, ensuring children and young people receive safe, high-quality, patient-centred care through a multidisciplinary model of service delivery. Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, Metro North Oral Health Service, you will provide strategic direction, operational oversight and professional leadership across COHS programs, supporting clinicians to deliver contemporary specialist oral health care while driving service excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide strategic analytical and innovative skills in planning and setting the direction for future delivery of client-centred health services in an Oral Health Service or like organisation.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge, broad experience and skills in, clinical dental practice consistent with the responsibilities of the position.
- Efficiently and effectively manage the allocated resources of a paediatric oral health service to achieve performance targets and maintain budget integrity.
- Identify and support research opportunities into aspects of oral health care to promote evidence-based practice, with an emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the principles of quality improvement, evidenced-based practice and fostering innovation and research within the oral health services.
