About the role

The Advanced Physiotherapist role provides advanced pelvic health physiotherapy clinical services and clinical leadership within the Tess Cramond Pain & Research Centre (TCPRC) at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Working within a multidisciplinary pelvic pain pathway, the role manages clinically complex pelvic health and pain presentations using evidence-based and trauma-informed practice, while collaboratively developing care approaches that value client needs and preferences.

The role also drives innovation and service development through clinical leadership, quality improvement, research and strategic initiatives. The successful applicant will provide expert advice and education to physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team, contribute to the development and evaluation of clinical practice, and support improved safety, efficiency and outcomes across the service.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Deliver advanced, trauma-informed pelvic health physiotherapy clinical and consultancy services for people with complex pelvic health and pain presentations, applying advanced clinical reasoning, professional judgement and contemporary practice.
• Provide advanced clinical leadership, consultancy, education and guidance to physiotherapists and multidisciplinary team members in the contemporary management of persistent pain and pelvic health.
• Lead change management and the development, implementation and evaluation of physiotherapy clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support continuity of care within the TCPRC and wider multidisciplinary team.
• Gather, manage and evaluate pelvic health clinical and service data, monitoring outcomes and professional standards to inform clinical practice, service management and quality improvement.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives in pain and pelvic health, supporting innovation, professional development and the dissemination of knowledge through education, conferences and publications.
