About the role

As the Senior Administration Officer within the Central Admissions team, you will coordinate, manage, and supervise administrative services across Central Admissions and Enquiries, Trust and Concierge Services at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. You will provide day-to-day operational leadership to administrative staff, ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate, and high-quality patient administration services that support effective patient care and organisational objectives.

Working closely with key stakeholders, you will oversee workforce coordination, service delivery, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role also supports staff development, operational performance, and the implementation of efficient administrative processes to enhance patient and stakeholder experiences.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Lead and supervise administrative staff, including rostering, workload management, and operational coordination across admissions and patient support services.
  • Ensure the delivery of accurate, efficient, and high-quality admissions, enquiries, trust, and concierge services.
  • Monitor compliance with audit, financial, and legislative requirements, including reconciliations, reporting, and internal control processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using performance data, reports, and key performance indicators to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide operational advice and support on workforce, patient activity, and service delivery while fostering staff development and capability.
