Your new role:

As Director Medical Services, you will provide high-level leadership across medical services at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, influencing the hospital's strategic direction and supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across QEII's medical services and medical workforce.
  • Lead clinical governance, quality and safety, workforce planning, recruitment and performance processes.
  • Act as an expert resource to clinical leaders and executives on complex clinical, medico-legal, ethical and operational matters.
  • Foster collaboration across medical, nursing and allied health teams while supporting education, research, innovation and service improvement.

 

About you:

We are looking for an experienced medical leader who can bring strong strategic thinking, management capability and a commitment to quality and patient safety.

  • Demonstrated high-level management and supervisory experience within a complex healthcare organisation.
  • Proven ability to recruit and select senior medical staff and effectively manage medical workforce requirements.
  • Strong capability in clinical governance, quality and safety, stakeholder engagement and service improvement.
  • Experience in research and development, education and training, high-level reporting and resource and budget management.

About us:

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
