About us:
Join a team of six Management Accountants and five Senior Management Accountants, all reporting to the Manager, Management Accounting within the Finance Division.
Working across your allocated portfolio, you'll partner with teams throughout Central Queensland Health (CQ Health), providing financial support, insights and guidance to our hospitals and community facilities.
Help turn financial information into meaningful insights that support better decisions and, ultimately, better outcomes for our communities.
About the role:
- Own the numbers: Get involved in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, data analysis and resource management to help keep our finances on track.
- Be a trusted advisor: Partner with cost centre managers and senior finance colleagues to develop costings, support business cases and provide practical financial advice that helps turn ideas into action.
- Turn data into decisions: Dive into financial data, check its integrity, uncover insights and present clear performance reports and recommendations that support smarter decision-making.
- Build partnerships: Work collaboratively with managers, clinical and multidisciplinary teams and the broader Finance team, while also taking ownership of tasks and finding ways to continually improve our financial support services.
About you:
- Bring your accounting and finance know-how, with a relevant qualification in business, accounting, finance or a related discipline highly regarded.
- Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to spot key issues, turn complex information into practical solutions and provide advice that makes a real difference.
- Juggle competing priorities, hit deadlines and deliver high-quality work, all while bringing excellent communication skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, confidently negotiate and influence outcomes, and work comfortably with financial systems, Microsoft Office and Excel.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $121,124 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $48.60 - $53.54 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
