About us:

CQMHAODS delivers specialist mental health, alcohol and other drug services to more than 250,000 people across Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana. With services based across the region, we're here where our communities need us.

Rockhampton is our principal service hub, supporting the administration of the Mental Health Act 2016 and home to our acute adult services, including the Acute Care Team and inpatient facilities. We also have an Adult Step-Up, Step-Down facility in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit in Rockhampton.

Our Acute Care services are there 24/7, 365 days a year, providing specialised mental health support to consumers across Rockhampton and the broader CQHHS area.

About the role:

• Put people at the heart of care. Build genuine connections with consumers, families and carers, working alongside the interdisciplinary team and external partners to deliver person-centred care that meets national mental health standards.
• Make a meaningful clinical impact. Provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health care, using your clinical expertise to support consumers, families, carers and the wider community.
• Champion recovery. Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate individualised care that supports recovery, while working flexibly and collaboratively with consumers, carers and other healthcare professionals.
• Keep growing and improving. Work confidently and independently within professional guidelines, while investing in your professional development and contributing to quality improvement across the integrated mental health service.

About you:

• Hold a relevant clinical undergraduate degree, or equivalent qualification, in one of the required professions, along with eligibility for registration or membership with the appropriate professional body.
• Bring advanced clinical skills and knowledge to support people experiencing serious mental illness, including a strong understanding of the Queensland Mental Health Act 2016and the National Standards for Mental Health Services.
• Manage a busy workload, balance competing priorities and make smart decisions about your time while delivering high-quality clinical care.
• Build strong therapeutic relationships, communicate confidently and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while also being comfortable working independently. You'll also bring a commitment to quality improvement and finding better ways to deliver mental health services.

Mental Health Clinicians

Hold qualifications and registration with the appropriate registration authority to practice in any of the following:

• Occupational Therapy
• Psychology
• Social Work
• Registered Nurse

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $139,931 p.a. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
