About us:
The Health Service is the primary provider of health services to residents of the Cairns, Tablelands and Cassowary Coast regions with a population of over 250,000 people, as well as providing specialist services to the Torres Strait and Cape York region. Cairns Hospital is the primary referral hospital for Far North Queensland.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will.....
- Work collaboratively with community partners and providers to ensure provision of an Interpreter Service that meets the needs of Clinicians and Consumers.
- Use effective communication and conflict resolution skills to respond to consumer enquiries and problem solve accordingly, investigate complaints and recommend solutions.
- Review and audit accounts for Interpreter Service payments for invoices received from provider companies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Promote the rollout and provide training for Interpreter Services to Directorates within the HHS to ensure effective use and ongoing improved awareness and uptake by clinicians of the service.
