About the role

The Audio Visual Technician provides day-to-day audio visual support for the Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS), helping to deliver high-quality simulation-based education across Queensland. Based in Herston, the role supports the establishment of Pocket Centre sites and the installation, maintenance and optimisation of audio visual systems that enhance training environments for healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will deliver technical support, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, undertake installations and preventative maintenance, and contribute to the effective operation of audio visual and simulation systems. Working closely with CSDS staff, clients and stakeholders, the role helps ensure a reliable and high-performing audio visual environment that supports innovative healthcare education and training.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Install, commission, maintain and repair audio visual equipment and control systems across CSDS sites.
  • Provide responsive technical support and troubleshoot audio visual issues to minimise service disruptions.
  • Configure and optimise audio visual and simulation systems to support education and training activities.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, service records and asset information for audio visual systems.
  • Support audio visual services across the CSDS Pocket Centre Network, including travel to multiple locations when required.
