A brand-new Emergency Department is on the way, doubling our current capacity and helping us care for more people when they need us most. Through our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy, Gladstone Hospital is set to become a centre of excellence for emergency care, medical inpatient services and day surgery.
We're also bringing care closer to home by strengthening outreach services across the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.

About the role:
- Keep things moving. Provide flexible, high-quality administrative support across different departments, using your initiative and keeping things on track even when you're working independently.
- Make meetings happen. Organise and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture minutes and make sure everyone has what they need to keep things moving forward.
- Connect with everyone. Build positive relationships and communicate confidently with staff across CQHHS, as well as community, private and external organisations.
- Make things better. Bring a positive, professional attitude and help spot smarter ways of working that improve workflow, efficiency and the day-to-day experience for everyone.
About you:
- Communicate with tact, patience and confidence, handle sensitive situations with discretion and build positive relationships with staff, consumers and the wider community.
- Can juggle priorities, meet deadlines and work independently, while staying flexible when things change.
- Use initiative, spot opportunities to improve the way things are done and confidently find solutions when challenges pop up.
- You've got an eye for detail and the tech skills to match. You're accurate, detail-focused and comfortable using PC-based systems, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
What we offer:
- An hourly rate between $51.47 - $57.24 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
