Your new role:
As Pharmacist - Advanced - Clinical Leader (Medical) you will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services while leading the professional and operational delivery of pharmacy services aligned with the medical program. You will have the opportunity to:
- Provide advanced clinical advice and support for complex patient care and clinical decision-making.
- Lead, mentor and supervise pharmacists, interns, students and pharmacy support staff.
- Drive evidence-based clinical practice, professional governance and quality use of medicines.
- Support workforce planning, workload allocation, rostering and team development.
- Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to education and training.
- Lead innovative service improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research and knowledge translation.
- Provide strategic advice on pharmacy services and contribute to local and state-wide professional networks.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced pharmacist who combines advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership, communication and service improvement capability. To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Advanced clinical expertise and the ability to independently manage complex clinical situations.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills within multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience supervising, mentoring and developing pharmacy staff and students.
- The ability to manage workloads, staffing and service priorities while maintaining safe, high-quality outcomes.
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating clinical practices, procedures or service models.
- A commitment to innovation, evidence-based practice, research and continuous improvement.
- Postgraduate qualifications in pharmacy, while not mandatory, will be well regarded.

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
