Digital Metro North is the technology and digital delivery arm of Metro North Health, Australia's largest hospital and health service. The team works closely with clinicians and partners including eHealth Queensland to deliver the systems, infrastructure and support that enable safe, high-quality patient care every day.
Driving a significant digital transformation agenda, Digital Metro North is currently implementing the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR) across the health service, delivering major digital initiatives under the Queensland Government's Hospital Rescue Plan, and executing the three-year Digital Delivery Plan. These programs are shaping a connected, digital-first healthcare environment that supports new models of care, improves patient outcomes and enhances clinician experience.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Digital Infrastructure you will provide high-level technical expertise in the maintenance, support and optimisation of digital and Information Communication Technology (ICT) services across diverse systems and platforms. You will ensure Digital Metro North (DMN) infrastructure and services are reliable, fit for purpose and responsive to the operational and business needs of Metro North Health.
- This role is full time with the standard hours of operation being 8:00am – 4:06pm, Monday to Friday.
- Successful candidate will participate in the Digital Infrastructure on-call arrangements to provide 24x7 support for MNHHS critical IT systems and provide support for changes in after-hours.
- Flexible working arrangements such as variable working hours, working from home and flex accrual may be supported.
Key knowledge and experience
The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
- High level of technical knowledge and skill, or the ability to quickly acquire technical knowledge and skills in the support and maintenance of relevant technical domains.
- High level of competency in the support of digital and ICT infrastructure and platforms; including the application of professional judgement in the formulation of viable technical solutions and a high degree of technical problem resolution skills.
- Ability to undertake tasks in a dynamic environment working with limited supervision, meeting established deadlines, demonstrating a commitment to client service, and adhering to workplace standards, procedures and agreements
- Ability to follow ITIL processes (primarily incident / problem / change, knowledge and configuration management) in a complex digital environment
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex ICT issues and solutions to internal and external stakeholders, develop effective and respectful working relationships, and contribute constructively within highly technical team environments.
