About us:
We're a friendly, supportive orthopaedic team with a broad mix of subspecialty expertise, including arthroplasty, sports, foot and ankle, hand, shoulder and spine.
You'll work alongside 5 senior specialists, an AOA SET trainee, 7 PHOs, 2 RMOs and 4 interns, with an orthogeriatrician and University of Queensland medical students also part of the team.
With 5 theatres and a procedure room in Rockhampton, plus 3 theatres in Gladstone, there's plenty of opportunity to operate, teach and develop your skills.
We're big on teamwork, support and having each other's backs — and we're looking forward to welcoming our newest team member.

- Lead, teach and be part of the team. Support junior doctors and trainees, contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement, and work closely with our multidisciplinary teams.
- Keep learning and growing. Teach medical students and colleagues, contribute to research, stay on top of CPD and help shape the future of orthopaedic care across Central Queensland.
About you:
- You have MBBS (or equivalent), FRACS in Orthopaedic Surgery, and AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility.
- An Upper Limb fellowship is strongly preferred, with solid experience across shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand surgery.
- You communicate well, work confidently in a multidisciplinary team, lead patient care and support junior doctors.
- Committed to CPD, quality improvement, teaching and research — and keen to help make orthopaedic care even better.
