About your role

As a Clinical Nurse in Macleay Ward, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and expert nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.

• Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning and coordination for complex medical patients.
• Provide clinical leadership, direction and support to the nursing and multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Coordinate shifts, delegate appropriately and support effective utilisation of staff and resources.
• Lead and contribute to education, quality improvement, clinical audits and evidence-based practice.

About you

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who brings advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement and a commitment to person-centred care.

• Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in general or acute medical nursing.
• Strong assessment, care planning and problem-solving skills for complex patients.
• Demonstrated clinical leadership, delegation and shift coordination capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative team relationships.
• Commitment to education, quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice.

Redland Hospital is the major health centre for adults and children in the Redlands and Brisbane's southern bayside suburbs. We provide a range of services including emergency care, primary health and minor injury care, acute and subacute medicine, general surgery, maternity and paediatric, mental specialist outpatient and mental health care.
