About the role

The Radiographer provides high-quality medical imaging services as part of the multidisciplinary team within Medical Imaging Services at Redcliffe Hospital and Brighton Health Campus. Working across a broad range of imaging modalities and clinical presentations, this role delivers safe, professional and patient-centred imaging examinations while supporting the provision of diagnostic services to patients across the Metro North Health catchment.

The successful candidate will perform imaging examinations, collaborate closely with patients and healthcare teams, and contribute to service delivery across a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week roster. The role also supports ongoing service development, quality improvement initiatives, student supervision, and the future growth of imaging services as part of the expanding Redcliffe and Brighton Health Campus facilities.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Perform high-quality medical imaging examinations in accordance with professional standards, protocols and legislation.
  • Apply sound clinical judgement when undertaking routine and increasingly complex diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient and patient-focused care.
  • Provide clinical support, supervision and education to students and less experienced staff as appropriate.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, protocol review and service development initiatives within Medical Imaging Services.
