About the role

The Administration Officer Outpatients – Reliever provides flexible administrative support across Specialist Outpatient & Ambulatory Services at Redcliffe Hospital. This role delivers relief coverage for planned and unplanned staff leave, helping to ensure the ongoing provision of high-quality administrative services that support patients, visitors, clinicians and healthcare teams.

The successful candidate will work across a variety of outpatient and ambulatory service areas, including reception, call centre, booking services, oncology, antenatal and allied health clinics. The role is responsible for managing appointments, maintaining accurate patient information, responding to enquiries, and providing professional customer service while supporting efficient clinical service delivery and patient care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide administrative support across outpatient reception, booking, call centre and ambulatory service areas as operationally required.
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, rescheduling and waiting lists in accordance with Specialist Outpatient Implementation Standards.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service while responding to patient, clinician and stakeholder enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and utilise multiple Queensland Health information systems to support service delivery.
  • Support efficient clinic operations through effective time management, adaptability and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
