The Role

Based in Fortitude Valley, you will join us in a permanent flexible full-time role, focusing primarily on Identity, Authentication and Network Addressing Infrastructure and services.

As the Principal Technology Officer, you will work as part of a technically skilled team to:

  • Provide high quality technical expertise, support and, administration by maintaining the operational environment and defined enterprise service levels
  • Perform day-to-day support, managing service requests and incidents
  • Manage and execute changes to the environment
  • Improve our services, processes, and automation capabilities

Participation in on-call arrangements may be required for this position. Appropriate remuneration under the Award will apply.

Are you right for this role?

 To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate your ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes, as well as being able to demonstrate the following:

  • The experience and ability to deliver high quality ICT services to clients of eHealth Queensland, with emphasis on managing workloads, priorities and working unsupervised
  • Demonstrated ability and technical in:
    • Identity and authentication services (Microsoft Active Directory, Federation Services) 
      Network Addressing (DNS, DHCP)
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016+ (OS and Hardware) 
    • Administrative Scripting (PowerShell)
  • High level oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations and the ability to maintain relevant system documentation and produce technical reports/documents for management.
  • Demonstrated high level of technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring and design of medium to large enterprise ICT environments with the proven ability and technical skills to support ICT services to meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly learn Service Now and ITIL Service Management processes (primarily incident / problem / change / configuration management).
