About us:
The CHHHS Pharmacy Service provides medication management to across the Healthcare facilities of the Hospital and Health Service. The service provides full and extensive Pharmacy Services at a CSCF level 5 with 24 hours support. The Pharmacy Service at Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) provides a pharmacy service to the clinical areas of the Cairns Hospital and to 30 rural and remote sites including four rural hospitals. Current services provided include but are not limited to: outpatient pharmacy services inclusive of telehealth, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas; an extensive imprest service, clinical trials, and educational services.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will….
- Strategically and operationally manage the clinical pharmacy service to the Rural Pharmacy Services provided across the HHS.
- Be accountable for delegated operational, financial, asset and administrative management activities.
- Provide leadership in the area of expertise related to Rural and Remote, First Nations and pharmacy services in the community to promote safe and effective medication management processes in these areas of the health service including giving authoritative and expert advice to Director of Pharmacy and CHHHS on these matters.
About your role:
- You will be representing pharmacy services throughout the Hospital Health Service and participate in HHS governance committees where appropriate.
- It will be your task to omplement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, work health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area.
- You will professionally lead the delivery of clinical pharmacy services within multidisciplinary teams, providing expert advice to health practitioners to deliver effective health outcomes across Health Service.
