About the role:
As Deputy Director of Clinical Services, you'll work alongside the Director of Clinical Services to lead, support and grow mental health, alcohol and other drugs services across Central Queensland.
You'll inspire medical teams, build strong relationships and help create a culture of collaboration, accountability and great patient care. You'll also champion innovation, drive service improvement and support clinical governance, quality and safety, education, research and RANZCP training.
You'll help lead our medical officer and nurse practitioner teams and step into the Director of Clinical Services and Mental Health Act Administrator role when the DCS is away.

About you:
- You're a qualified medical practitioner with MBBS (or equivalent), Fellowship of RANZCP, current specialist registration and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Confident managing a broad range of psychiatric presentations across hospital and community settings, with a focus on evidence-based, ethical and high-quality care.
- You know how to bring people together, solve problems and drive quality, safety and continuous improvement — while supporting and developing those around you.
- An excellent communicator who builds trusted relationships with patients, colleagues and stakeholders, works collaboratively across disciplines and advocates for great patient outcomes.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $584,972 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $266,839 - $282,912 p.a. (L25-L27)
- A salary rate between $223,136 - $259,187 (L18-L24)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
