Biloela - Travels to Banana Facilities

Help shape the next generation of nurses across the Banana Region. As a Clinical Facilitator, you’ll support CQ Health graduate Registered Nurses as they build confidence, capability and safe clinical practice - combining hands-on teaching, clinical guidance and evidence-based education with opportunities to influence practice improvement, research and change.

Based in Biloela, you’ll travel across Banana Region facilities, bringing education and support directly to our graduates and the teams they work alongside. With a permanent part-time arrangement, you’ll have the opportunity to build a rewarding career in nursing education while enjoying the flexibility to balance your work with life outside of it.

About us:

Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Unit supports nursing and midwifery staff across CQ Health through education, professional practice development, research and clinical practice improvement. Led by the Nursing Director of Education and Research, the multidisciplinary team includes Nurse and Midwifery Educators, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Facilitators, Student Facilitators, a Transfusion Nurse and Librarians, with professional links extending to education teams across Gladstone, Emerald, Aged Care and Mental Health.

About the role:

  • Support and guide CQ Health graduate Registered Nurses, helping build confidence, capability and safe clinical practice during their transition into the profession.
  • Create a strong learning culture through face-to-face teaching, clinical support and close collaboration with graduate nurses, clinical units and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead evidence-based clinical education, planning, delivering and evaluating learning that strengthens nursing practice and contributes to positive patient outcomes.
  • Drive clinical practice improvement through quality activities, research, change management and contribution to policies and procedures.
  • Provide early clinical leadership by modelling professional practice, emotional intelligence and person-centred communication while building partnerships across education, research and clinical practice.

About you:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with a current annual practising certificate, and a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting and guiding staff, graduates and students, with the ability to build confidence and capability in clinical practice.
  • Strong education and facilitation skills, including assessing learning needs, developing and delivering education strategies, and evaluating their effectiveness.
  • A collaborative, growth-focused approach, with the ability to build productive relationships across students, graduates, clinicians and education providers, participate in professional networks and contribute to a strong learning culture.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $111,944 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
