About the role

The Senior Administration Officer coordinates, manages and supervises administrative support services across the Ear, Nose and Throat, Audiology and Maxillofacial Clinics at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Working within Surgical and Perioperative Services, the role is responsible for leading administrative teams, supporting operational performance, and ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality administrative services that support both clinical staff and patients.

The successful candidate will oversee workforce planning, staff development, recruitment and day-to-day administrative operations while providing expert advice on patient activity, human resources and service delivery matters. The role also contributes to quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, resource planning and the ongoing enhancement of outpatient administrative services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Lead and manage administrative operations across multiple outpatient clinical services to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, workforce planning, performance development and training activities.
  • Analyse service activity data and provide recommendations to support operational and resource management decisions.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and support the development of effective administrative systems and processes.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support including referral management, appointment coordination and data integrity monitoring.
