We're Cardiac Services, a dedicated team providing expert heart care to the Central Queensland community — from critical care to rehabilitation and everything in between.

Our team supports patients across the full cardiac journey, including Coronary Care, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Heart Failure services, Cardiac Investigations and Chest Pain Assessment, as well as Better Cardiac Care for First Nations people.

We're also the go-to team for cardiac knowledge and support, helping patients, families and hospital teams better understand heart health, cardiovascular disease and risk factors.

From first symptoms to ongoing recovery, we're here to help Central Queensland hearts keep beating strong.

About the role:

  • Lead from the floor. Provide high-quality clinical care, support complex decision-making and step up to lead the team when needed.
  • Teach, coach and inspire. Bring your knowledge to life by supporting nurses and clinical staff with hands-on education, training and skill development.
  • Champion better care. Promote evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research to help achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Be the team connector. Work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager and wider multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships and creating a supportive learning environment.

About you:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is essential. Postgraduate cardiac nursing qualifications are highly regarded, or you'll be ready to work towards them.
  • Confident leading others, supporting great nursing practice and making decisions with integrity.
  • You can assess, plan and coordinate complex, person-centred care while solving problems and keeping patient outcomes front and centre.
  • Great communicator who knows how to build relationships, collaborate across teams, navigate tricky conversations and bring people together.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $73,647 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
