Your application may be considered for multiple temporary Senior Physiotherapist opportunities across different clinical areas. As part of the application process, you will be asked to nominate your preferred clinical areas.

While we will endeavour to match candidates with their preferences, placement will be subject to operational requirements, clinical experience and available opportunities.

Your new role:

Provide high quality clinical Physiotherapy services within a busy and diverse tertiary hospital environment. You'll manage complex caseloads with a high degree of autonomy, working collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve safe, effective and person centred outcomes. You will:

• Provide senior Physiotherapy services including assessment, intervention, clinical decision making and discharge planning for patients with complex needs.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, providing clinical advice and contributing to high quality Physiotherapy services.
• Support junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants through supervision and education, while contributing to quality and service improvement.

About you:

You are an experienced Physiotherapist who can confidently manage complex clinical presentations in a fast paced tertiary hospital environment. You will bring sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to compassionate, patient centred care. You will have:

• Strong clinical expertise and the ability to independently assess, prioritise and manage complex Physiotherapy caseloads.
• Highly developed communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to provide clinical advice and build positive relationships with patients, families and multidisciplinaryteams.
• Leadership and service improvement capability, including the ability to support less experienced clinicians and students and contribute to education and service improvement.

About Princess Alexandra Hospital:

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a tertiary health care centre providing care in most major adult specialties. We provide world class health care to Brisbane City's southern suburbs across emergency, medical, mental health and surgical services, including liver and kidney transplant.

We are nationally recognised for our expertise in trauma management and organ transplants and are one of Australia's leading academic and research health centres. The PAH as a major medical research precinct hosts Australia's most advanced medical research facility, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) as well as a new Clinical Research Facility for the discoveries made at TRI to be trialed in a safe clinical environment.

We're expanding our hospital to make sure everyone gets the care they need. We're adding more beds, modernising our buildings, and improving our spaces to treat kidney and cancer patients with all new services and facilities planned to open by 2027.
