Permanent full-time opportunities for Clinical Midwives to provide advanced, woman-centred care within Maternal Fetal Medicine at Logan Hospital. Lead complex care, support evidence-based practice and contribute to education, research and clinical governance.

Your new role:

Join the Maternal Fetal Medicine team at Logan Hospital and use your advanced clinical, problem-solving and coordination skills to provide high-quality care to women experiencing complex and high-risk maternal and fetal conditions. Working autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, you'll play an important role in planning and coordinating care while providing clinical leadership across practice, education, research and quality improvement.

• Assess, plan and coordinate complex and high-risk maternal and fetal care.
• Provide clinical leadership, expert advice and support to midwives and multidisciplinary teams.
• Promote evidence-based practice, education, research and professional development.
• Collaborate across Maternal Fetal Medicine, Maternity Assessment, Birth Suites, Antenatal Clinic, Medical Imaging and wider multidisciplinary services.

About you:

We're looking for an experienced midwife who brings advanced clinical knowledge, strong critical thinking and a commitment to woman-centred, culturally safe and evidence-based care.

• Advanced clinical and problem-solving skills in midwifery practice.
• Experience assessing, planning and evaluating complex and high-risk maternal and fetal care.
• Strong communication, collaboration, delegation and clinical leadership skills.
• A commitment to education, lifelong learning, research and evidence translation.
• The ability to recognise and escalate complex situations and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
