Your new role:

As a Senior Physiotherapist in the Emergency Department, you'll deliver high-level, evidence-based physiotherapy services to patients within a complex and fast-paced clinical environment. You'll use advanced clinical judgement across musculoskeletal, vestibular, neurological and cardiorespiratory presentations while contributing to clinical education, service improvement and multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level assessment, intervention and evaluation of complex physiotherapy presentations.
• Provide expert clinical advice and contribute to evidence-based Emergency Physiotherapy practice.
• Support clinical education, supervision and development of junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research and service development initiatives.

About you:

You're an experienced Physiotherapist who can confidently manage complex clinical presentations, prioritise competing demands and contribute as a senior member of a multidisciplinary Emergency Department team.

Skills & Experience

• Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• High-level clinical expertise in musculoskeletal and Emergency Physiotherapy.
• Strong communication, prioritisation, clinical decision-making and discharge planning skills.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring and supporting clinicians and students.

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
