The Digital Capital Program (DCP) requires multiple Principal Business Analysts to lead and drive the delivery of ICT project outcomes within Cairns Hospital Expansion Project (CHEP), The Prince Charles Hospital (TPCH) Expansion and the New Bundaberg Hospital (NBH) projects.

This is a hands-on delivery role embedded within an active capital works environment, responsible for translating complex business and ICT requirements into actionable solutions across multiple concurrent project streams, coordinating delivery activities across technical and operational teams, and ensuring the program's documentation, processes, and governance artefacts meet the standards required of a high-profile health infrastructure investment.

The role: 

You will be responsible for assisting with delivery of project activities in a fixed timeframe environment. Participating as a self-motivated, highly organised and effective team member and work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholder groups to achieve the program outcomes. You will be directly embedded within a fast-paced hospital capital works program, taking ownership of ICT delivery activities across defined project milestones.

Specifically, you will:

• Lead business analysis and process modelling activities for the project site
• Coordinate ICT end-user compute and application requirements from scoping through to test execution
• develop and maintain solution documentation to program standards
• Review and validate technical requirements, configuration data, and vendor deliverables against contractual obligations and program baselines
• Lead structured requirements workshops with clinical, technical, and construction stakeholders, translating outputs directly into scoped work packages and traceable specifications
• Monitor milestone progress against program schedules, flagging variances early and supporting recovery planning with quantified impact assessments
• Contribute to procurement and contract documentation, including scope statements, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Act as the key interface between technical delivery teams, clinical stakeholders, and program governance to ensure requirements are captured, validated, and delivered within the constraints of a live construction environment.
• Contribute to the identification and management of digital project risks, and issues by developing timely and relevant written submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers as and if required by the Project Lead (Digital Lead).

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role, you must have demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities within IM/ICT projects preferably in the health care industry. You will have demonstrated experience working within large-scale ICT delivery programs in complex-built environments, preferably in a hospital capital works project.

You will also have experience in stakeholder relationship engagements including the ability to influence key stakeholders and build relationships with senior management, technical specialists and clinicians.

You will also have experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to build productive working relationships with technical specialists, clinicians, and project/program team members.

You will bring:

• Ability to read and work with project schedules (MS Project or equivalent), identify potential risks, and communicate observations clearly to the project team
• Hands-on experience reviewing technical drawings, ICT infrastructure scopes, and vendor deliverables to support completeness and compliance checks
• Experience working with risk and issues registers as active delivery tools, with follow-through to support resolution
• Solid stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to contribute effectively to meetings and translate complex, multi-disciplinary inputs into requirements
• Experience in ICT capital programs, preferably in healthcare, where delivery timelines are fixed and scope clarity matters
• Ability to apply structured thinking to complex problems — formal BA frameworks are a bonus, not a prerequisite
