This includes the medical specialties of pathology and forensic medicine, scientific testing and key clinical and system support functions including biomedical technology, Breast Screen Queensland, medical imaging and supply chain services.

Supply Chain Branch proudly provides a resilient and reliable supply chain service to our Hospital and Health Service customers and partner services, including clinical goods, pharmaceuticals and linen products. The branch comprises functions critical to Queensland Health's supply response, including Central Pharmacy, Linen Services, Warehousing and Logistics, and Operations Group. These functions combine to provide an end-to-end supply chain function—from demand planning to warehousing and distribution—under a single integrated branch led by the Executive Director.

About the role:

As a Manager, you will Supply Chain Branch supports clients and stakeholders across the Department of Health, all Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Government and some external agencies with the goal of ‘Maximising value; elevating healthcare.' You will also promote the Warehouse and Distribution facility by Liaising with clinical, medical and administrative staff and clients to achieve client focused quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and direct programs and strategies to ensure Supply Services (WM) capacity to deliver cost effective and innovative warehousing and distribution support to clients.
• Formulate and co-ordinate operational planning of the warehousing and distribution functions.
• Oversee the effective operation and co-ordination of workflow of receipt, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and distribution of goods.
• Run reports and search information on the Materials Management information system. ·
• Contribute to the development of departmental budgets ensuring financial decisions are congruent with organisational goals.
• Develop a work environment that encourages and promotes feedback and reporting from staff to ensure continuous improvement to business goals
• Undertake regular reporting against goals and objectives in regard key targets, resource utilisation, and processing deadlines particularly for receipts for non-stock products.
• Identify and manage risk in the warehousing and distribution functions
• Interpret and evaluate regulations and instructions as they relate to the warehousing and distribution functions.
