About the role
Take your clinical pharmacy career to the next level while working across a diverse range of specialty areas within Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford health services. This senior role offers the opportunity to apply advanced clinical expertise, influence patient care across the continuum of healthcare and contribute to the delivery of contemporary pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary environment.
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will provide high-level clinical pharmacy services across a variety of clinical areas, supporting complex decision-making and medicines management for patients with diverse healthcare needs. You will also play an important role in mentoring developing pharmacists, contributing to service improvement initiatives and helping shape the future direction of pharmacy services across the Caboolture Kilcoy Woodford Directorate.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Deliver high-level clinical pharmacy services, including medication reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmaceutical care planning and medicines optimisation across multiple specialty areas.
- Apply advanced clinical knowledge and independent professional judgement to support complex clinical decision-making and evidence-based patient care.
- Provide expert clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and healthcare providers to support safe, effective and patient-centred medicines management.
- Support the education, supervision and professional development of pharmacists, interns and students while promoting contemporary pharmacy practice.
- Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities, service development projects and strategic planning that enhance pharmacy service delivery.
