The Role
As the Senior Director Architecture, Governance, Policy, and Portfolio, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic direction of digital health across Queensland. Reporting to the Executive Director Strategy, Architecture and Information Services, you will lead enterprise architecture, digital health governance, policy and portfolio management functions that enable informed investment decisions and support the delivery of modern, connected healthcare services.
Working across the Queensland health system, you will provide leadership in the development of enterprise architecture frameworks, policies, standards and roadmaps that encourage innovation, interoperability and the effective use of digital technologies. You will also oversee governance and investment processes, ensuring digital initiatives align with strategic priorities, deliver tangible benefits and provide value for money.
This role offers the opportunity to influence statewide digital health priorities, strengthen governance and assurance practices, and build the capability needed to support Queensland Health's future digital transformation agenda.
The Successful Person
You are a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who can see the bigger picture while delivering practical outcomes.
You bring significant experience leading enterprise architecture, governance, portfolio management, strategic planning or digital transformation initiatives within a large and complex environment. You have a strong understanding of how governance, investment and technology decisions work together to achieve organisational objectives and improve service delivery.
An exceptional communicator and relationship builder, you are skilled at influencing senior stakeholders, navigating complexity and bringing diverse groups together to achieve shared outcomes. You are equally comfortable providing strategic advice to executives, leading high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement across multiple functions.
You will be recognised for your ability to:
- Provide strategic leadership in architecture, governance, policy and portfolio management.
- Drive innovation and informed investment decision-making across large-scale digital environments.
- Build strong partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

About the Division
eHealth Queensland advises on statewide digital health innovation, strategy, policy, planning, standards, architecture and governance and is responsible for delivering clinical, corporate and infrastructure digital programs and services in line with the Queensland Health vision and investment priorities; providing modern digital infrastructure and customer support for desktop, mobile, smart devices, telehealth, data centres, network and security. eHealth Queensland also provides data repositories and data services for the health system.
