The Role
This is a unique opportunity to influence healthcare on a statewide scale and help drive the digital transformation of one of Australia's largest and most complex health systems. As the Chief Clinical Information Officer, you will provide strategic clinical leadership to ensure digital technologies improve patient outcomes, support clinicians and deliver value across Queensland Health.
Reporting to the Deputy Director-General, eHealth Queensland and operating as a member of the executive leadership team, you will:
- Shape the future direction of digital health across Queensland.
- Provide expert advice on digital health strategy, clinical governance, patient safety and emerging technologies.
- Lead clinical input into major statewide digital health and ICT programs.
- Build strong partnerships with clinicians, health service leaders and key stakeholders across the health system.
- Champion technology solutions that enhance healthcare delivery and improve outcomes for patients and communities.
- Lead the Chief Clinical Information Office and support a multidisciplinary team driving clinical innovation and adoption.

You are an influential clinical leader with a passion for improving healthcare through innovation, collaboration and digital transformation. You bring the credibility, strategic mindset and leadership capability to drive system-wide change and deliver meaningful outcomes.
You will be recognised for your ability to:
- Lead and influence complex, large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships across clinical, executive and government environments.
- Balance innovation with clinical safety, governance and risk management.
- Translate strategic priorities into practical outcomes that benefit patients and clinicians.
- Inspire and develop high-performing teams.
You will bring significant senior clinical leadership experience, a strong understanding of digital health and healthcare information systems, and a commitment to improving health outcomes for Queensland communities.

About the Division
eHealth Queensland advises on state-wide eHealth innovation, strategy, planning, standards, architecture and governance and is responsible for delivering clinical, corporate and infrastructure ICT programs and services in line with the Queensland Health vision and investment priorities; providing modern ICT infrastructure and customer support for desktop, mobile, smart devices, telehealth, data centres, network and security. eHealth Queensland also provides data repositories and data services for the health system.
