The Divisional Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the financial and commercial management of the Corporate Services Division.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Divisional Finance Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide decision support for negotiation, reporting and amendment processes
• Understand the requirements for policy, systems, processes and culture to operate in an activity based funding environment
• Access systems, analyse data and present high quality performance reports
• Provide recommendations and expert advice measuring key performance indicators of financial performance
• Liaise with and act as key resource point for the Management Teams and Cost Centre Managers to facilitate efficient and effective business service delivery

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• While not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance or Commerce would be well regarded
• While not mandatory, an understanding of the regulatory environment and context in which a statutory body and health service works would be well regarded
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary full time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $111,993 - $121,853 per annum

The Division is made up of Divisional Finance Teams, Financial Reporting and Compliance, Financial Performance, Commercial Innovation and Performance Analysis and Reporting Unit.
