What you'll do
As the Project Director, you will lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver complex, high-risk projects that support Queensland Health's strategic objectives and provide sustainable, customer-focused enterprise solutions. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including team leadership, performance management, coaching, mentoring and resource management, while ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with Queensland Health's project management methodologies and best practice standards. You will provide expert strategic advice on project deliverables, ensuring they meet quality, policy and architectural requirements, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will oversee project performance, budgets and reporting, and prepare high-quality submissions, briefs, presentations and information papers to support informed decision-making and the successful achievement of project outcomes.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- High level leadership, conceptualisation and design of large scale, complex and high-risk projects (SFIA code: PROF 5) (SFIA code: PRMG 6).
- High level project management skills, with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes (SFIA code: METL 5).
- High level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and written and oral communication skills for use in a complex project environment (NHS: Effective and Strategic Influencing).
- Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor multiple multi-disciplinary project teams (NHS: Leading Change Through People).
- Ability to work in a team environment and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (SFIA code: RLMT 5).
- High level knowledge and application of project management methodologies (Prince 2) (SFIA code: METL 5).
