Innisfail Hospital serves as a major rural healthcare facility, delivering emergency, perioperative, medical, surgical, maternity, and medical imaging services. It also offers a wide range of outpatient care to support the health needs of its population of over 7,000.
The Emergency Department delivers 24-hour emergency services for patients of all ages. The department consists of seven beds, including three triage beds, two resuscitation bays, a plaster room and two consultation rooms, along with two fast-track chairs for efficient patient care.
About your role:
Your main tasks may include (but are not limited to):
- Primary and focused assessments of paediatric and adult patients.
- Performing vital signs, ECG's, urinalysis and other point of care-testing.
- Complex medication administration and preparation.
- Working within a team nursing model.
