About us:

Rockhampton Hospital is the specialist healthcare hub for Central Queensland. With 305 beds, we provide comprehensive care across a broad range of medical and surgical specialties, including Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Paediatrics, ICU and Anaesthetics.

Our team is supported by visiting specialists from Queensland's tertiary hospitals, bringing additional expertise closer to home. We're also home to a new Cancer Care Unit, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and services to provide high-quality cancer care for local patients.

About the role:

• Lead specialist ENT care. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient, outpatient and operating theatre services, while helping shape and strengthen ENT services across Central Queensland.
• Take ENT beyond Rockhampton. While based at Rockhampton Hospital, you'll support patients across the CQHHS network through outreach and telehealth clinics, with opportunities to work across sites including Biloela, Emerald, Gladstone, Woorabinda, the Capricorn Coast, Barcaldine and Longreach.
• Collaborate, connect and lead. Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, hospital services and community partners to deliver coordinated, safe and efficient care. You'll also contribute to clinical governance, audit and service improvement, and participate in the ENT after-hours on-call roster.
• Teach, research and inspire. Play an active role in developing the next generation of clinicians through supervision, teaching and education, while contributing to research and maintaining your own professional development and specialist expertise.

About you:

• Hold an MBBS or equivalent and the qualifications and experience required for Specialist registration in Otolaryngology in Australia. This will generally include FRACS (Otolaryngology) or evidence that you have commenced the RACS comparability assessment. You'll also maintain an appropriate College CME program.
• Bring broad clinical experience across Otolaryngology and a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and delivering excellent patient care.
• Confidently guide patients through assessment, admission, treatment, transfer and discharge, while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Clear communication and high-quality clinical documentation are essential.
• Stay curious, keep your skills sharp and contribute to improving clinical practice. You'll also have the opportunity to teach and inspire undergraduate and postgraduate clinicians.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $564,939 p.a. is comprised of:

• A salary rate between $223,136 - $259,187 p.a.
• A salary rate between $266,836 - $282,912 p.a.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
