Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $144,315 to $154,879 p.a. (PO5)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity:
As a member of the inhouse legal team, oversee and provide strategic advice on the management of contentious legal matters, including employment, litigation, investigations, and dispute resolution, and support the organisation in meeting its objectives by:
- delivering briefings to the Board, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Leadership Team and senior managers on employment, dispute resolution, and litigated matters, as required;
- guiding, leading and providing case management (as required) of disputes, litigation, investigations, regulatory matters and grievance resolution; and
- translating complicated legal concepts into practical solutions to inform stakeholders.
Provide legal advice to THHS spanning the health service's activities which may include one or more of the following areas: health law, contracts, commercial, leasing, information technology, research, funding, procurement and other related matters.
Requirements:
- Possess a degree in Law and admission or eligibility for immediate admission to practice as a solicitor or barrister in the Supreme Court of Queensland and enrolment or eligibility for enrolment to practice in the High Court of Australia.
- Probation period may apply.
- Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
