The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Deliver Medical Imaging services commensurate with training and experience, within a multidisciplinary team in accordance with:
  • prescribed professional and ethical standards
  • local protocols, policies, procedures and work-place instructions
  • relevant legislation
• Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
• Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the team and by engaging in professional development activities.

Mandatory Requirements

• Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16

The successful applicant must:

• hold at least a tertiary degree qualification enabling enrolment in a Post Graduate Medical Ultrasound program that is accredited by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register.
• Must be registered as a student sonographer with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Register

If a Radiographer, the successful applicant also must:

• have, or be eligible to have, current registration with AHPRA
• have, or be eligible to have, a Licence to Use Irradiating Apparatus issued by Radiation Health, Queensland.
