About us:
The Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service delivers specialist mental health and alcohol and other drug care to communities across Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana regions.
Our service has entered an exciting new phase with the opening of our new Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service at Rockhampton Hospital. This state-of-the-art 32-bed facility has expanded inpatient care and includes high and low dependency units, therapy spaces, administrative support spaces, indoor garden areas and safety and layout features for the wellbeing of consumers and staff.
Working closely with inpatient, community and primary health partners, our multidisciplinary team takes an integrated approach to supporting the recovery and wellbeing of mental health patients. We are committed to delivering accessible, high-quality, recovery-focused care that makes a meaningful and lasting impact.
About the role:
- Lead great clinical care. Assess, plan, deliver and review safe, evidence-based, person-centred care for consumers, including those with complex needs, while upholding their rights and wellbeing.
- Be part of the team. Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, consumers, families and external services to keep care connected across inpatient and community settings.
- Lead, support and grow others. Provide shift coordination and clinical leadership, mentor and support nursing staff and students, and contribute to induction, education and professional development.
- Help shape better care. Champion innovation, embrace technology, identify and manage risks, support positive change and contribute to a workplace culture where people feel supported, valued and heard.
About you:
- You're a Registered Nurse with current NMBA registration through AHPRA and a strong commitment to quality, safety and great patient care.
- Understand clinical standards, guidelines and risk frameworks, and you're keen to use evidence and data to spot opportunities, solve problems and keep improving care.
- Build strong relationships, work confidently with multidisciplinary teams and can communicate clearly, whether you're writing a report, sharing an idea or having an important conversation.
- Can work independently, support Safety and Quality programs, navigate contemporary information systems and help turn Central Queensland Health's quality and safety goals into action.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $139,890 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $44.27 - $56.79 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
