Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering advanced nursing care within the Mt Gravatt Nurse Led Walk-In Clinic. Working autonomously within your scope of practice and Extended Practice Authority, you will use your clinical expertise, critical thinking and leadership skills to assess and manage patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
You will also contribute to education, quality improvement, research and the ongoing development of the service, while working collaboratively with the broader healthcare team. In this role, you will:
- Provide advanced, person-centred nursing care to patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses.
- Undertake comprehensive clinical assessment, care planning and evaluation.
- Apply advanced clinical judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
- Work autonomously under Extended Practice Authority following the required training and credentialling.
The role may also require you to work across other Logan Beaudesert Health Service facilities, including Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre, Meadowbrook Health Centre and Logan Hospital Emergency Department.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse who brings advanced clinical knowledge, strong decision-making skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of minor injuries and illnesses.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, care planning and evaluation skills.
- Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to provide clinical leadership through effective delegation, mentoring and role modelling.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
- Experience in acute care and emergency management of adult and paediatric patients is highly desirable.
- A post-graduate qualification, or current enrolment in a relevant post-graduate program, is highly desirable.
