What you'll do
As the Manager Business Administration, you will lead the delivery of high-quality financial, human resource, procurement, contract and business management services that support the strategic priorities of the Office of the Chief Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Officer. You will provide expert advice to senior leadership on complex business, financial and operational matters, ensuring strong governance, accountability and compliance with legislative and departmental requirements. The role is responsible for driving business improvement initiatives, managing investment and financial performance, overseeing procurement and contractual activities, and developing robust governance frameworks that enhance organisational effectiveness. You will prepare high-level briefings, reports and strategic documents, lead the implementation of corporate and operational change initiatives, and represent the Division in key forums and stakeholder engagements. As a people leader, you will foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and professional excellence, while mentoring and developing staff to deliver outstanding business outcomes and support the achievement of Queensland Health's strategic objectives.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Proven high level experience and knowledge of financial management processes, methodologies and standards.
- Proven ability to provide strategic direction and leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, including displaying behaviours that consistently model personal drive, initiative, responsiveness and adaptability to change.
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills at a senior level, including a demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior executives of the Department.
- Ability to plan, manage, implement and provide strategic solutions and direction in business improvement and operational performance initiatives that initiatives within a complex environment.
